With shops in Paris and New York, Lalique, the champion of crystal, is opening its doors in Miami this month at Bal Harbour Shops. The Pietro Mingarelli and Lady Tina Green-designed jewelbox boutique will carry all of its crystal collections, including Lalique Maison, which features an interiors capsule designed by the pair, as well as art and fragrance. For the fine jewelry fiend, the store will offer Lalique’s latest collection, entitled Soulmates, just the second fine jewelry collection from the crystal house in almost 100 years. (The first, the Sacred Fire Odyssey, was introduced last year and is also available at the boutique.) With motifs such as butterflies, arrows, flower blossoms, and the house’s signature lily of the valley, these new pieces represents René Lalique’s original romantic attitude, as captured most memorably in the windows of New York’s Coty building and the interiors of the Orient Express, and now found in South Florida.
