Music's finest gathered at L.A.'s Staples Center last night to celebrate the 56th annual Grammy Awards. Here’s a recap of the most unforgettable moments.

Beyonce and Jay-Z at the Grammys.

Husband-and-wife duo Beyoncé and Jay-Z hit the stage for the Grammys opener.

Jay-Z later won a Grammy for best rap/sung collaboration and, of course, thanked his beautiful wife and gave a shout out to their daughter Blue Ivy saying, “Daddy’s got a gold sippy cup for you.” [Hollywood Reporter]

Newcomer Lorde performed her breakout song “Royals,” which earned her Grammys for song of the year and best pop solo performance, beating out music vets like Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake. [LA Times]

Carole King was named MusiCares’ 2014 Person of the Year and joined Sara Bareilles on stage for a moving piano duet of King’s “Beautiful” and Bareilles’ “Brave.” [Hollywood Reporter]

Queen Latifah officiated the marriage ceremonies of over 30 couples to the tune of "Same Love."

The night also featured a Beatles reunion of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, who were honored with a Lifetime Achievement award. [Rolling Stone]

The awards show culminated with a performance by Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl, and Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. But the act was cut short—which sparked an angry tweet from Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. [CNN]
