Posh New Towers Rise Above Miami

Latin singer Enrique Iglesias sold his Bay Point mansion—only to move two doors down to a bigger home. Iglesias bought the vacant lot for $640,000 and built the house from the ground up in 1998. The 6,300-square-foot dwelling, which includes five bedrooms and five baths on the waterfront, recently sold for $6.7 million. The deal made it the highest-priced listing sold per square foot in the exclusive neighborhood.
The singer has reportedly upgraded to a $26 million residence, also at Bay Point. The new house is about 20,000 square feet and has a lap pool, a dock, and a tennis court.
Jewel in the Sky
The high-rises in Sunny Isles Beach have become some of the hottest commodities in the county. Take for example Penthouse 4905 at the posh Jade Beach Condo. The trilevel living space was designed by Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott and features floor-to-ceiling walls of glass with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the city skyline. Inside, the total living space is 8,200-plus square feet, divided into six bedrooms and seven full bathrooms. The balconies add another 3,000 square feet and include an open terrace area with a jacuzzi.

Grove at Grand Bay, a pair of 20-story towers with 98 units, features an architectural makeup where every floor is twisted 38 degrees to the right, so that one floor is not quite on top of the next. The project is the brainchild of renowned Danish architect Bjarke Ingels.
Unit sizes will range from 1,602 square feet to over 6,700 square feet for exclusive penthouses. Every unit will have private elevator access, 12-foot ceilings, outdoor living spaces with summer kitchens, and views of Sailboat Bay. Amenities will include a curator-maintained art gallery, gym, pet spa, and four pools.
“Our vision was to create an eco-conscious residential project so visually spectacular that it would become a statement for a new Coconut Grove,” says David Martin, COO of the Terra Group. Piece of Paradise
Privé, two 16-story luxury towers, is a joint venture between Aventura’s Gary Cohen and BH3 Management LLC to cash in on a pristine eight-acre enclave set between Williams Island and Sunny Isles Beach, located on Dumfoundling Bay.
The condo will consist of 160 residences ranging in size from 2,585 square feet to over 5,600 square feet for penthouses. Units will feature private elevator entry, 10-foot glass windows looking out east to the Atlantic Ocean and west to the city, balconies, and European kitchens and bathrooms, as well as outdoor summer kitchens. All interiors are designed by Steven G.
Amenities will include a 10,000-square-foot gym and spa in each tower, private dining and social rooms, poolside café, wine and cigar rooms, tennis court, two pools, a marina, and a private beach. “The property’s resort lifestyle on a private island in Aventura, surrounded by water, plush landscaping, and the most natural view corridors, is unmatched in Miami’s market,” Cohen says.
