A star-studded Irie Weekend came to a close Saturday, June 30, raising critical funds for the Irie Foundation and bringing out some Miami's biggest names. Friday's New Era Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Melreese Country Club included mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, basketball legend Alonzo Mourning, and Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy as participants.
On Saturday, Irie hosted a children's bowling tournament at Lucky Strike Lanes, welcoming kids from South Florida After-School All-Stars and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. Two-time NBA champ Dwayne Wade and girlfriend Gabrielle Union joined in on the fun, as did fellow Heat teammate Udonis Haslem. Alonzo and Tracey Mourning and NFL standout Adewale Ogunleye also popped in to help support the evening's initiatives.
