Eating House Goes Permanent
The Coral Gables pop-up is here to stay with a new look and an upgraded menu.

The newly redesigned Eating House
When we strolled the Coral Gables Museum farmers’ market with chef Giorgio Rapicavoli earlier this year, the Chopped winner had no intention of making his Eating House pop-up permanent. Evidently, he’s had a change of heart: Eating House reopened as a full-fledged restaurant on November 24.
Rapicavoli, original partner Alex Cassanova, and new addition chef Henry Hane have revamped the restaurant and its menu. There’s now an open kitchen, wine hall, and décor accents like graffiti art and ghost-wood paneling. Cuisine remains whimsical yet sophisticated. The popular heirloom tomato dish will now be frozen using liquid nitrogen, and the chicken ‘n’ waffles are being upgraded to chicken ‘n’ foie-ffles. Sunday's Wakin-N-Bacon brunch runs from noon to 5 p.m., and dinner is served from 6 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. 804 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, 305-448-6524
