Stop into Berluti for tailored European duds and a game of pool.
Luxury footwear brand Berluti brings its ready-to-wear stateside with the opening of a new outpost in Miami's Design District. One part European boutique, one part chic man cave, the cube-like shop is appointed with design elements of wood, brass, and fragrant leather, as well as a full-size pool table.
Cemented in fashion history for its signature patina shoe shining—preferred by iconic patrons like Yves Saint Laurent, Frank Sinatra, and Andy Warhol—the Berluti brand dates back to 1895, when it was founded in Paris by Italian craftsmen Alessandro Berluti. Today, of course, it's part of the illustrious Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy portfolio.
As for the dapper spring/summer ready-to-wear collection, designed by brand creative director Alessandro Sartori (formerly of Z Zegna), you'll find sleek, tailored fits, pops of color, and classic summer styles in white, khaki, and shades of blue. The shopping experience is distinctly European, with looks categorized by style: English Boldness, Italian Nonchalance, and French Classicism. 161 N.E. 40th St., Miami, 305-573-4170
