Blue Collar: Recommended by Trevor Alberts
A unique take on comfort food from chef and owner Danny Serfer. Located in MiMo, you'll find a wide range of dishes on the menu from Chanukah latkes to a Cuban sandwich with Serrano ham to grilled mahi mahi. Bartender Trevor Alberts of the Martini Bar at The Raleigh loves both the meat and vegetarian dishes. “They also do great ribs and serve Narragansett out of the can. Bread + Butter: Recommended by Julio Cabrera
“The best pan con bistec in Miami and also a fish sandwich to die for,” says Cuban-born barman Julio Cabrera of the Regent Cocktail Club. “It is another level of Cuban cuisine.” This is a Nuevo Cubano diner own by a Cuban-American chef who studied under chefs Robbin Haas and Norman Van Aken. The menu features unique twists on the classics like a Reuben with house-cured pastrami, chicharron Eden Farms pork belly with truffle black bean purée, and Humboldt Fog goat cheese flan for dessert. 2330 Salzedo St., 305-442-9622

“The Artichoke Heart Bruschetta is ridonkulous. I’d eat here just for that appetizer,” recommends chef Matt Hinckley of The Hoxton. Chef Dena Marino cooks Modern Italian cuisine. The Corner: Roel Alcudia
Chef Roel Alcudia of The Cypress Room comes here when he’s burning the midnight oil since “it’s open until five in the morning.” Located among the warehouses in Downtown Miami, they serve sandwiches, salads, French croques (monsieur, madame, and popeye), snacks like hot dogs, deviled eggs, and chips and dip.
