In a city where nightclubs change names constantly, buildings get torn down and rebuilt in the blink of an eye, and a restaurant might last a year, Ocean Drive magazine is bucking the trend by celebrating our 20th anniversary. Two decades ago, we had a blast putting out a large-format magazine printed mostly in black and white, and today it’s still just as exhilarating to capture the very special vibe that only Miami can produce. All of us at Ocean Drive feel privileged to live in a city that continually offers such amazing content.
For this very special issue, we needed an exceptional cover model. And who could be more fitting than the legendary Heidi Klum? She has previously graced the front of our book five times over the years (this is her sixth), and in an industry that can be unkind, she’s made herself into a real Renaissance woman: Klum has been a Victoria’s Secret Angel; executive director and host of Project Runway; launched her own fragrance, jewelry, and clothing lines; and has even been nominated for an Emmy for best reality-TV show host.
Over the last 20 years, we here at Ocean Drive have had a front-row seat to the fireworks that are Miami. We’ve watched the town evolve, and we’ve taken part in its transformation as well. Here’s to making the next 20 just as fantastic!
