March Madness isn’t limited to college hoops. The next month holds a lot to be mad—as in happy—about here in Miami. Ocean Drive is more than excited to introduce British cover model Elle Liberachi. This blue-eyed beauty gracing our pages embodies the glamour and charm that have distinguished some of the more memorable supermodels of the past. To celebrate the March issue—and the launch of celebrity photographer Seth Browarnik’s new nightlife column—Elle will be hosting a decadent party at Arkadia on March 18. On March 8, Ocean Drive will hit the Rubell Family Collection in Wynwood to partake in the Drink Ribera Grand Tasting, which showcases the largest selection of Ribera del Duero wines under one Florida roof.
March also offers avant-garde journeys for the imagination and body. The Miami International Film Festival (from March 4 to 13) provides a stage from which both established and upstart filmmakers reveal their cinematic visions to the world, followed in short order by the Winter Music Conference (March 8 to 12) and the Ultra Music Festival (March 25 to 27), both drawing thousands of electronic-music insiders and acolytes to South Florida for the newest and best dance music the world has to offer.
Another influx entirely hits Key Biscayne when the Sony Ericsson Open—along with stars such as Pharrell Williams, Kim Kardashian, Anna Wintour and Owen Wilson—comes to the Tennis Center at Crandon Park.
With the arrival of the Miami International Film Festival, the Sony Ericsson Open, Winter Music Conference and the Ultra Music Festival, the city is packed with tastemakers and jet-setters from around the world. To keep up with the madness, make sure to visit Ocean Drive on Facebook and Twitter. See you around town!
