Miami seems to be home to a disproportionate share of the world’s most beautiful people. While the city is a magnet for youth and good genes, it’s also remarkably conducive to a healthy lifestyle—with sun, fresh air and DecoBikes at every turn.
Wondering how to get that 305 glow? We spell it all out for you here in our Health & Beauty Issue. Turn to “Zen City,” our ultimate rundown of the area’s best spas, gyms, salons and more. It even offers up plenty of solutions for aesthetic problems you didn’t know you had (sorry!).
And in “Miami’s Beauty Culture,” we gathered a snapshot of our city’s society together for an honest conversation that touched on everything from eating habits to magic creams and plastic surgery. The group agreed that life here is all about finding the ideal balance between fitness and fun. After all, what’s the point of looking good if you can’t go out on the town and flaunt it?
Happily, this season provides lots of options to enjoy and indulge. I’m looking forward to our party with gorgeous cover star Lily Aldridge and OD’s annual Health & Beauty event, after which I’ll likely hit one of my favorite bastions of decadence for dinner. Read Lee Brian Schrager’s interview with co-owner and executive chef Sean Brasel of Meat Market—or our knowledgeable contributors’ roundup of beloved eats in “Taste”—and you’ll no doubt be tempted. So let loose. Remember, you can always take a CrossFit or Core Fusion class at the crack of dawn tomorrow.
