A piece by Bhakti Baxter, who will showcase his work at III Points.
Pillared by music, art, and technology, the III Points festival makes its debut in Wynwood on Thursday, October 3. The three-day takeover will tap local businesses, artists, and tastemakers to help mold its inaugural programming.
The festival itself is backed by the team at Bardot and organized in collaboration with London-based music label Young Turks and nightlife impresario Jason Odio. Programming such as film screenings, art shows, games, concerts, and seminars will populate the lineup. Experimental engineering agency TwinHaus curated the art portion of the event, featuring original works by Bhakti Baxter, Borscht, Typoe, and Sum Of Us Films, among others. DFA Records and LCD Soundsystem founder James Murphy (Jamie xx of The xx) and DJ Shadow are among the scheduled musical performers.
On Friday and Saturday night, Jason Peterman, AV-8 Projects, and Tecné Collective will power a 3D projection mapping installation at the Cigar Factory's main stage. Venues such as the LAB Miami, Spinello Gallery, Cafeina, and O'Cinema are also slated to participate. An all-event pass checks in at $125 and may be purchased online. Individual event tickets are also available.
