It’s hard not to be impressed by the quality of craftsmanship behind Italian accessories designer Sergio Rossi’s work. Bal Harbour store manager Casie Preston walks us through the hottest styles, seen this season on the likes of Penélope Cruz, Beyoncé and Sandra Bullock.
Toeing the line:We can’t keep the Cachet platform peep-toes in stock—especially the classic black and nude. But the new collection introduces some fun fall colors like aubergine and metallic blue. We also have some great overthe- knee styles, as well as really fun fringed boots coming in that are guaranteed to be fall’s must-have style.
Secret service: Our customers love glamour, sophistication and sex appeal, but they also expect and demand comfort, a key focus in our designs. This is evident in the extra padding on our insoles, the angles of the heels and the softness of the leather. Our customers often tell us we have the most comfortable heels around.
The one and only: People sometimes don’t realize that much of what we sell at Bal Harbour are one-of-akind styles you won’t find anywhere else in the US. So when you buy a pair of our shoes or a handbag, you know you’re getting something handcrafted and really special.
Pillow talk: Our design team has become more selective and innovative this past season. They’ve developed new cutting-edge ways of treating leather, and even have a python bag that is so soft you’ll want to rest your head on it. The inspirations have been very “dreamy,” including a collection inspired by the Sirens of the Sea, which includes booties and pumps with mermaid-like scallops laser-cut into the leather. It’s stunning and totally unique.
