by Samantha Yanks, executive fashion director
The 71st annual Golden Globes kicked off the Hollywood awards season with a cavalcade of red carpet favorites and newcomers. Crimson ruled as the hue of the evening, with stars like Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong'o, and Berenice Bejo wearing everything from cherry to imperial. Also on our radar were golden tones, with actresses like Michelle Dockery, Anna Gunn, and Naomi Watts in exquisite metallics. Below, executive fashion director Samantha Yanks runs down all of the evening's best-dressed, as well as a few megawatt stars who missed the mark.
