Six-Course Truffle Dinner at The Ritz: The Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne has announced its fourth annual white truffle dinner, taking place Wednesday, November 13 inside Cioppino. The six-course feast is limited to 60 coveted reservations. Pairings will be curated by chef de cuisine Ezio Gamba, sommelier Jorge Mendoza, and Fiorenzo Dogliani of Batasiolo winery. Iron Fork Rings in Miami Spice: The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau will kick off its annual two-month celebration of local cuisine during this Thursday's Iron Fork festivities at the Adrienne Arsht Center. The event promises tastings from more than 40 establishments, as well as live music and libations. Eating House's Giorgio Rapicavoli and Tongue & Cheek's Jamie DeRosa are this year's competing chefs. The revelry begins at 7 p.m., though VIPs may enter the grounds an hour early. Tickets begin at $35. 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami

Burger Beast's Frita Showdown: Popular food blog Burger Beast hosts its first-ever Frita Showdown with five competing restaurants on August 14 at the Magic City Casino. Known to many as the Cuban hamburger, a frita is traditionally made with ground beef, chorizo, seasonings, potato sticks, diced raw onions, and ketchup. Tickets are $40 and include a sample from each contender, snacks, desserts, and a soft drink or beer. (7-10 p.m.) 450 N.W. 37th Ave., Miami

Truchard Vineyards Dinner at The Biltmore: Suzanne and Anthony Truchard of Napa Valley's Truchard Vineyards will host a family-style dinner with wine pairing this Wednesday, July 31 at the Fontana Royal Table. Menu highlights include a seafood risotto, pumpkin tortelloni, and veal piccata. All-inclusive tickets are $75 for members and $89 for guests. SushiSamba Coral Gables Launches Breakfast: The Coral Gables outpost is the first location under Samba Brands Management to offer breakfast. The morning menu began its run last week, flaunting fusion specialities like breakfast dumplings with chorizo and rocoto jam and a short rib sandwich with egg.
