Hotel Astor's New Underground Hot Spot
Head downstairs at the Art Deco Hotel Astor and you’ll find a completely transformed lounge—simply called The Downstairs—that is now a fine dining restaurant led by chef Chad Ford. The hot spot that debuted last Friday serves a European leaning menu with dishes like lamb loin Wellington with mushroom duxelle. Seating is communal style amid beautiful bookshelves and a slick leather-topped bar. Versace Mansion to Get a Kingly Restaurant
The Versace Mansion is now home to The Villa By Barton G. and its Mediterranean restaurant, Il Sole, set to debut later this month. Expect decadent dishes served on Versace-designed Rosenthal China, with options including grilled swordfish and pistachio-seared Hawaiian ahi flown in daily from Honolulu, as well as three cuts of a Moroccan-spiced lamb tagine, lobster beet and burrata salad, and charred Calabrian octopus. 1116 Ocean Dr., Miami Beach, 305-576-8003
Porcão Farm to Grill Sets an Open Date
The much-anticipated Porcão Farm to Grill is making its debut next month in Mary Brickell Village. Doubling as a Downtown dinner and nightlife spot, the restaurant will feature steakhouse-style dishes like a bone-in filet, as well as rolling carts with a raw bar, rotating cheese and charcuterie selections, and vegetable pickles that change weekly. Rec Room Hosts Day and Night Breakfast Club for Miami Music Week
As The Gale South Beach goes 24/7 for Miami Music Week, those seeking a late-night bite and beats can join the Breakfast Club at Rec Room.
