The Setai Grill, nestled within chic South Beach hotel The Setai, will officially open its doors on Wednesday, December 12. Inspired by classic New York steakhouses, the restaurant will also serve up signature European specialties, like foie gras terrine (made with Rougié foie gras, from France), côte de boeuf with potato gratin, and a dish of Florida stone crab, crème fraîche, and caviar. Prime cuts include a dry-aged New York strip loin, porterhouse, and the eatery's signature Setai tomahawk bone-in steak.
The Setai Grill keeps in line with hotel's elegantly sleek decor, donning a mother of pearl communal table, intimate wine rooms, and rich woods. Behind the line are French-trained executive chef Mathias Gervais and chef de cuisine Thomas Griese, who have a combined culinary resume that includes stints under chefs like Joël Robuchon, Paul Bocuse, and Thomas Keller at seven Michelin-starred restaurants. The Setai Grill and its adjacent Setai Lounge will be open Wednesday to Sunday for dinner. 2001 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, 305-520-6400 or 305-520-6800
