An array of new dishes makes the rounds at Joey’s Italian Café. “Of course we are keeping the mainstays that our diners have always enjoyed,” says chef Ivo Mazzon. “But I wanted to add dishes utilizing the great, fresh ingredients we have access to, as well as some new pizzas and pastas.” Find classic additions like a traditional caprese (mozzarella, tomatoes, oregano, basil, extra virgin olive oil) and new pizza dishes like affumicatta (spinach, mozzarella, scamorza, sundried tomatoes, smoked salmon, hot pepper) and romana (tomato, mozzarella, stracchino, artichoke, porchetta). House-made pastas including gnocchi served with a choice of meat, tomato, pink or four-cheese sauce and fettucine carbonara (pancetta, eggs, parmesan, black pepper, a bit of cream).
