Scope Miami Beach will trade its usual Midtown site for a spot on South Beach
Scope Miami Beach will have a new home when it pops up at Art Basel in Miami 2013. The globally recognized art fair is moving from Midtown to a 70,000 square foot pavilion off Ocean Drive and 10th Street. Scope Miami Beach's seaside tent will flaunt an alfresco beach lounge and a collection of 100 international exhibitors and 15 Breeder Program galleries. The 2013 edition is scheduled to open on Tuesday, December 3 to VIP invitees, press, and "first view" guests who pay a $100 donation at the door. Scope's public run will kick off Wednesday, December 4 and remain on view through Sunday, December 8; hours are daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Last year's Scope opening festivities included a VH1-backed performance by Canadian rockers Metric, as well as collaborations with Red Bull and Bombay Sapphire. 1000 Ocean Dr., Miami Beach
