SLS Hotel South Beach Springs Up

After months of anticipation, the SLS Hotel South Beach officially opened its doors to the public on Thursday, June 8. The sprawling retreat features 140 guest rooms, 10 villas, a world-class salon, two hot new restaurants (The Bazaar and Katsuya), and an ultra-exclusive Hyde Beach poolside lounge.
Much of the locale's buzz can be credited to the all-star team behind the scenes: visionary icon Philippe Starck spearheaded the design, acclaimed culinary mastermind José Andrés and master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi crafted the cuisine, and Lenny Kravitz put his stamp on the main tower and villa penthouses.
The SLS maintains Miami Beach's famed Art Deco architecture, while pulling off a sleek, modern design with equal parts French country elegance and rock and roll edge. A special, introductory "Start Living Sexy" package will allow first-time guests to get a tantalizing taste of what the SLS has to offer. Available now through October 31, 2012, the package drops 15 percent from the best available room rate and also promises a complimentary room upgrade and food and beverage sampling at Hyde Beach. 1701 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, 888-606-1595
