Amazonica, a Miami-based Colombian-inspired oasis, has recently opened its newest location in Brickell, becoming the tropical treat paradise's fourth location opened by Ammiel Manevich, the brand's 29-year-old owner and visionary. All visitors can enjoy any complimentary coffee beverage with a purchase from the new site throughout the summer to commemorate their recent opening.

"We wanted to expand to Brickell because we believe this neighborhood is the beating heart of Miami," said Manevich. The Colombian native and Miami local added, "It has a very interesting mix of local residents, executives, young professionals, tourists, etc., and in the midst of surrounding an 'urban jungle' we want them to be able to escape into our little oasis where they can relax and refuel with a cup of coffee or enjoy a refreshing Cholado after a long day."
Manevich wanted to create a vibrant paradise where people could unwind and enjoy a refreshing and fueling treat, inspired by his Colombian background and childhood memories. In collaboration with Colombian celebrity chef Julian Hoyos, Executive Chef of Restaurante El Silo, the duo created an innovative spin on nostalgia street food such as the refreshing icy beverage Cholados ($9.99) and sweet stuffed wafers Obleas (starting at $4.95).
Cholados are a unique ice-cold treat served in a cup with shaved ice, homemade fruit puree, fresh fruit topping, and condensed milk. The Paradise, made with a mixed berry base and topped with fresh slices of apple, mango, pineapple, strawberries, bananas, condensed milk, and a wafer cookie, is among the most popular Cholados. Curiosity seekers can try the Guavamaria Cholado, an ode to Miami blended with guava and topped with strawberries, ice cream, condensed milk, maria cookies, guava paste, and dulce de leche, or a Cookies and Cream Oblea stuffed with Oreos, white chocolate, rice Krispies, and whipped cream.
From breakfast to dessert, this quick service restaurant has something for everyone. The menu features a tropical Latin vibe that includes baked goods such as empanadas, guava pastries, tequeños, and pandebono, a traditional bread made of cassava and cheese. Amazonica also uses Devoción coffee, sourced from Colombia and roasted and toasted within 10 days. Acai Bowls ($12.99), fruit bowls ($7), and juice ($8.99) are also available for health-conscious diners. Among the new items are a Mango Limonada ($7.99) and a special edition Oblea filled with chocolate and hazelnut wafer snack, Pirulin ($7.50).
Desserts include jarred Tres Leches ($10) and Marquesa de Milo ($10), a traditional Latin American pudding layered with sweetened condensed milk, crackers, and Milo chocolate powder. Loyal customers can also bring home frozen treats such as pandebono (12 for $12.99) and empanadas (20 for $23.99). Amazonica recently collaborated with Chef Henry Hané of Wynwood restaurant Jatto to create a Black Forest Oblea, which the Michelin Guide recently recognized.
The new Brickell location reflects the brand's environmentally conscious beliefs to be 100 percent eco-friendly. Amazonica recycles PET cups, paper straws, bamboo spoons, and plates. The Brickell location is located at 1250 S Miami Ave. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Amazonica offers UberEats delivery and takeout.
