On April 20, Balenciaga opened the doors to its new store in The Miami Design District. Designed as a site-specific project, the building features functional solar panels as part of a façade, which is unique in the brand’s retail network. From the outside, shoppers will notice the pale blue panels installed above clear glass windows at street-level, with large-scale luminous BALENCIAGA lettering visible from the street.
Once inside, prepare to be amazed by the modern interior and furnishings, which embody the industrial yet luxurious environment created by Demma Gvasalia for the Paris flagship stores at Rue Saint-Honore and Avenue Montaigne.
By incorporating several elements of a state-of-the-art clothing factory, customers are presented with products in a direct and uncomplicated way throughout the store’s two spacious floors. On the first floor, you will find the women’s collection with an exposed ceiling, while the second floor is dedicated to menswear and features a pink, Balenciaga logo printed carpet.
