One of Miami’s most historic buildings has transitioned itself into a new and exciting concept. Located in Downtown Miami, Bar La Real combines the historic roots of the building with the elegance of a new and noteworthy bar. Coining the term Tropiglam, Bar La Real brings together extravagance with old-school glamour in, of course, a tropical setting.
The White Feather Management team is behind this exciting opening, alongside some of Wynwood’s most popular bar concepts El Patio and Mayami Latin.
“At Bar La Real we walk the line between elegant and extravagant in everything that we do. From the atmosphere to the sound, all is curated to appeal to that latin dandy, that real life peacock who lives to satisfy their passions for feeling, thinking, dancing and drinking,” said La Real’s Art Director Carlos ‘Beto’ Perez Fleta.
This opening is part of what the area is calling, a downtown revival, with many new businesses and lines of work marking territory in the area.
The cocktail program at Bar La Real is going to trump many in the city, taking every cocktail order with a creative twist. From caviar-topped cocktails to gin-based Harakiri cocktails and their twist on many classics including the old-fashioned, mojitos and gin and tonics. If you’re not looking for mixed drinks, the extensive wine and champagne list offers some of the best bottles and blends.
In addition to the cocktail menu, hookah is available at Bar La Real, truly emphasizing itself as a relaxing yet environment.
With music at the forefront of the bar’s roots, they have committed themselves to celebrate Latin culture throughout the bar. In addition, they plan to run weekly theme nights where guests can groove to some of their favorite genres of music.
Bar La Real is just the beginning for White Feather as they plan to incorporate five new concepts within this building alongside the Republic Entertainment Bureau. The plan includes a lobby bar, Frutonomy, Cabrón Taqueria Barrio Bajera, Cabrón Basement and Nomada Drinkery Bazaar and Bar La Real in the buildings attic.
Bar La Real is officially opening on October 15 and is located at 100 NE 1st Avenue. Be sure to check out their website, barlareal.com for more information on the bar’s offerings.
