What does a day in your life look like for you?
Every day is different, but a typical day starts with meditation. It’s the first thing I do when I wake up and has become an important part of my life, helping me focus my attention on the tasks ahead. I then take my kids to school and work out before heading into the office.
How do you keep yourself motivated?
To be honest, I’m intrinsically motivated, but on days where I lack motivation (we all have them), I use a couple of different strategies to help me bounce back, which include clearly defining my goals and visions, harnessing the power of optimism and leveraging innovation to keep tasks fun and creative.
What does your fitness regime look like?
It looks a little different today as I’m currently recovering from a torn ACL (ski accident), but normally I work out at least five times a week. My workouts consist of Barry’s Red Room classes, Barry’s X classes and weightlifting at the gym.
What is a simple way that others can incorporate health and wellness into their lifestyle?
I would advise others to find a workout they genuinely enjoy and to immerse themselves fully into the culture and the community of the brand. That way it becomes integrated into their lives and introduces them to like-minded individuals who share similar interests.
Favorite lunch spots in Miami?
Carrot Express, Pura Vida, OOH RAW! Poke and Dr. Smood—which are all conveniently located close to our office in Wynwood.
Favorite weekend activity?
Boat days and beach days with my friends and family!
Best date-night restaurant?
Cecconi’s, Casa Tua or Sexy Fish for a bit more spice.
Best going-out or nightlife destination?
Soho House always acts as home base, and I really like to travel around to different parts of town exploring Wynwood, Brickell, Miami Beach, etc. I do think there is an opportunity to open a high-end gay bar or club.
Best shopping destination?
Bal Harbour, Design District and of course Curio at Faena Bazaar for your hottest Miami looks.
Overall favorite aspect of Miami?
I am obsessed with the ocean, and when you live here, you feel it in the air, on your skin and in your hair. You drive through it, dive into it and plan your events around it. I love the vibrant and diverse culture and how naturally everyone seems to mesh. If Miami had one cultural value, it would be fun! No city does it better.
