There’s nothing quite as satisfying as an iced coffee on a summer day—or any given day because let’s face it, every day feels like summer in Miami. Over the past few years, our city has gone from amateur to pro when it comes to the coffee shop scene, and these six cafes are taking it a step further by serving up some of the chillest brews in town.
With a selection of beans from various countries of coffee-growing fame, Pasión del Cielo is a coffee snob’s dream. Choose your flight from a participating country, and revel in the single-origin purity of Pasión’s beans. The cold brews are extra delightful here due to the finely cut ice cubes that seem to hit just right.
As The Salty Donut attests, it’s more than a donut shop. We couldn’t agree more with this sentiment, as their selection of Intelligentsia coffee rivals traditional coffee shops that solely serve a cup of Joe. Seasonal cold brews are all the rage here, brewed overnight and blessing your taste buds with each sip.
Enter Macondo Coffee Roasters and be immediately overtaken by their dedication to Colombian coffee, a country akin to royalty when it comes to their beans. Order from a variety of cold brews, ranging from coconut and whipped cream to Caribbean and lemonade, and scan their massive chalk board menu for an accompanying bite.
Native to Jerusalem, Aroma is the beloved coffee chain of Israel and now, Miami, Florida. The Ice Aroma is their house special, blended with slushy goodness and slow roasted at Aroma’s own roasting plant. Coffee isn’t the only thing they do well—fresh salads, sandwiches and breakfast items are all on offer.
No Miami coffee shop list is complete without Cuban influence. Tinta y Café is all about the café con leche, which is the talk of the town in Coral Gables and beyond. If you’re a fan of cafecitos, but are searching for a cool delight in the same lineage, the iced café con leche is your drink of choice here.
For when you’re bored of the matter-of-course coffee shop, pull up to Imperial Moto for coffee with a side of motorcycles and classic cars. Vroom vroom. The inside of the cafe is casually used as a motorcycle parking lot for your visual pleasure as you sip on a Nitro cold brew. Get the CBD-infused version for an added kick.
