Miami is well known for its vibrant diversity and legendary nightlife scene, and these aspects combine to also create an unrivaled musical culture. The list of music venues the city boasts is endless, but here are the 6 spots that are absolute must-visits.

34 NE 11th St. / Website
Located on the ground floor of the iconic Club Space, The Ground music venue uniquely creates a sense of intimacy even for crowds as large as 555 attendees. Music genres of all kinds are played live here in the heart of downtown Miami. A list of exciting upcoming shows can be found here.
1513 SW 8th St. / Website
For those seeking an authentic Cuban experience in Little Havana and incredible live jazz music, Ball & Chain Miami on the historic Calle Ocho is a go-to spot. The venue first opened in 1935 and immerses visitors in the rich history of Miami. Ball & Chain even offers DJ performances and salsa classes on “BachaTuesdays.”

This outdoor event space situated on the Miami River never fails to provide countless music shows, including nightly DJ sets and special events. The upcoming “Summer of Love” event on July 30, for example, will feature $35 bottles of Maison Marcel Rosé, food and live music.

176 NW 24th St. / Website
This trendy and eclectic bar/venue features live bands and DJs, but also drag performances and stand up comedy shows. In 2018, the bar was dubbed “Best Rock Club of Miami” by the Miami New Times, but jazz music and a host of other genres are played here as well. On top of it all, Gramp’s even has their very own pizza shop serving up slices to hungry patrons.

2335 N Miami Ave / Website
The name “Oasis” perfectly describes the atmosphere at this music venue in Wynwood. The open-air venue is surrounded by six food vendors, palm trees and includes an outdoor “Tower Bar” painted in bright colors and shapes that fit its art district home. This nightlife hub will soon feature a performance by musical artist Mora on July 31.

Featuring live music every single night, Lagniappe House consistently offers incredible entertainment and outdoor seating along with an array of wines, cheeses and charcuterie. Voted one of the “Top Wine Bars in America” by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in 2015, Lagniappe is the perfect spot to enjoy great musical acts along with drinks.
