When many people think of Miami, nightlife and jam-packed beach clubs are usually initial thoughts. But sometimes, you just want to go off the grid. With nature’s playground in our backyard, we have rounded up some of the best secret and low-key beach spots in Miami.
1200 Crandon Blvd., Key Biscayne
Located on the southern tip of Key Biscayne, this beach is a must for all things relaxation. With beautiful views of the open bay and a quiet beachfront, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is the perfect spot for an afternoon tanning session or even a sunset picnic. The location also features the historic 1825 Cape Flight Lighthouse, which is known as one of the longest-standing structures in Miami.
10800 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
Just north of Miami, Haulover Park is nestled on 1.7 miles of beautiful beachfront. Although, Haulover Beach is a little different from the rest of Miami beaches, as it is officially recognized as a nude beach. With some of the clearest, blue water in Miami this is a go-to weekend spot, clothed or not!

8328 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
Also known as, North Shore Open Space Park, this amazing beachfront is all your could ask for and more. With an amazing location with quite literally unseen open space, the beach is not surrounded by condominiums and hotels, like many Miami Beach locations. If you’re looking to layout and bask in the sun, or challenge your friends to a game of beach volleyball, this beach will be your spot away from the crowds.
10900 Jack Nicklaus Dr., North Palm Beach
This beach is so worth the drive up to North Palm Beach. As the only state park in Palm Beach County, this is something special. With 2 miles of beautiful waterfront, swimming, snorkeling and fishing are a must-activity. Paddleboard and kayak rentals are also available to guide you through the clear blue water.
744 Simms St., Hollywood
This amazing beach steers you away from all the crowds and gives you a totally relaxing beach day. The beachfront is quite deep, giving all beach attendees plenty of space to tan, play sports games and of course dip in the water.
South End (North Side of Rickenbacker Causeway)
Not only is this hidden part of the beach on the side of the Rickenbacker Causeway towards Key Biscayne a great beach to hang out at, but it is also pet-friendly! Best known for its killer location for windsurfing and rental services, a day at the beach at Hobie Island can be either relaxing or adventurous!
