Summertime calls for spritzes, and luckily for us, we get sipping privilege year-round. If you’re not jetting off to the Italian Riviera this summer (our condolences are with you), let Miami show you how it’s done when it comes to the Italian wine-based cocktail that seems to make everything better. A little prosecco, club soda and Aperol are the ingredients of a well-spent, sun-drenched day.
These Miami restaurants are mixing some of the best aperitifs in town for National Spritz Day and beyond, best enjoyed al fresco.
Doma
Doma is pouring up its own rendition of the Aperol Spritz—the Il Giovanni. Prepared with Campari, Pompelmousse liqueur, freshly pressed orange juice and bubbly Prosecco, this concoction is inspired by the remedy used to aid wounded soldiers in the Italian Independence war in 1862.
Lido Bayside Grill
Lido at The Standard is keeping things chic and simple with a classic Aperol Spritz, to be enjoyed alongside bayside bites and pristine views.
Baia Beach Club
Have a little fun with Baia Beach Club’s playful spritz, infused with Ketel One Botanical’s Peach & Orange Blossom Vodka, St. Germain, white wine Ketel One Spritzer and fruit.
Bellini
Sip your Aperol Spritz in style at coastal Italian mainstay Bellini. Spritzes are infused with Aperol, Soda Water and Mr. C’s very own prosecco.
MILA Miami
MILA is providing the ultimate MediterrAsian spritz indulgence with the tableside Imperial Spritz, crafted with belvedere 10, Moët Impérial, apple and spice cordial and cardamom orange bitters.
Katsuya
Katsuya is experimenting with a Japanese take on the traditional spritz, called the Sakai Spritz. The winning combo is made with bombay sapphire gin, Mizu ‘lemon grass,’ shochu and house grapefruit-rice soda,
