Just in time for spring, Bottega Veneta launches new handbag designs under the creative direction of Daniel Lee.
While other brands have relied heavily on logomania, Bottega Veneta has always taken a more understated approach to luxury. The brand swapped monograms for a different kind of signature: intrecciato, the woven leather look that has become emblematic of the brand.
First introduced in 2001, the intrecciato craftsmanship was used to create one of Bottega Veneta’s most iconic handbags, the Cabat. The staple bag has now been reimagined under the creative direction of Daniel Lee, Bottega Veneta’s first new Creative Director in 18 years, as the unisex Maxi Cabat. Available in 3 styles, the Maxi Cabat comes in various sizes, colors and textures—the ultimate new take on a classic.
In addition to the Maxi Cabat, Lee is taking Bottega Veneta to new heights with the introduction of The Pouch, an oversized clutch featuring soft folds of leather which completely envelop the bag’s rigid frame to create a voluminous rounded form. The Pouch will be available in two sizes and presented in Velvet Calf Intrecciato, Butter Calf and Cocco Souple.
