The partnership between these two iconic brands celebrates 60 years of James Bond music with a unique bespoke Px8 007 Edition wireless headphone, specially designed to celebrate the Midnight Blue tuxedo worn by Bond in 1962's "Dr. No."
Every famous film release has its own distinct soundtrack that lingers in the mind long after the credits have rolled -but in all of cinema, there are few better instances of memorable music than the scores that have propelled James Bond films over the past six decades; music has been intrinsically tied with the 007 brand. The union between Bowers & Wilkins and the James Bond film franchise is intertwined with its 40-year history with Abbey Road Studios, where their flagship 800 Series loudspeakers have been used to monitor the production of innumerable film scores, including "Skyfall" (2012) and "Spectre" (2015). More recently, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise, Abbey Road Studios engineers used Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers to help create Bond 25, an album featuring all 25 iconic Bond themes with brand new arrangements recorded in Abbey Road Studio One by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Bowers & Wilkins has designed a bespoke edition of its Px8 wireless headphones, the Px8 007 Edition, to commemorate the new relationship and the 60th anniversary of the premiere of Dr. No, including a Midnight Blue finish inspired by Bond's dinner jacket in his first on-screen appearance.
