In the world of celebrity skincare, you don’t see a lot of male founders, but where plenty of A-listers have put their name on a tequila bottle or fashion brand, Brad Pitt is putting his weight behind a science-backed collection of face creams, cleansers and serums.
Le Domaine is a high-end, unisex skincare company developed by Pitt in partnership with The Perrin family, University of Bordeaux Professor of Oenology Pierre-Louis Teissedre, and Professor Nicolas Lévy, a professor of Human & Medical Genetics and former head of medical genetics at Marseille hospital.

The products are formulated with ingredients grown on Pitt’s Château Miraval, as is his Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rose, another product partnership with the Perrins.
Just as the vineyard’s grapes can be harvested into quality wine, Le Domaine’s formula taps into the antioxidant rich berries made even richer by Château Miraval’s organic farming processes.

After 15 years of research, Le Domaine launched with a serum, a cream, a fluid cream and a cleansing emulsion, all of which boast the brand’s unique signature molecule, GSM10, made from Grenache seeds, Syrah seeds and skins. ProGr3 is the brand’s second patented ingredient, which has been shown in studies to fight against progerin, the marker protein of aging.
“I don’t want to be running from aging,” Pitt said in a recent interview with Vogue. “It’s a concept we can’t escape, and I would like to see our culture embracing it a bit more, talking about it in those terms. Something we discussed [in founding Le Domaine] was this headline of “antiaging.” It’s ridiculous. It’s a fairy tale. But what is real is treating your skin in a healthy manner. And it’s something I’ve learned to do for my business, but it kind of makes you feel better … I think that we’re learning that if we love ourselves, if we treat ourselves a little better, then there are long-lasting benefits to that. So just age healthy, age in a healthy manner.”
