The Brightline is back in business and introducing new developments quickly.
The high-speed railway is the most seamless and cost-effective method of transportation to many South Florid destinations. Currently, the Brighline serves Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, soon expanding to Aventura.
The group has just announced its newest construction update on the Brightline Boca Station, located in Boca Raton. Construction for the Brightline Downtown Library Parking Garage has commenced at Boca Station, bringing new initiatives and amenities to the South Florida city. This is an exciting project between Brightline, the City of Boca Raton and the Federal Railroad Administration.
“So many residents and businesses have discussed how Brightline will be a game changer for Boca Raton, and especially our downtown,” expressed Boca Raton Mayor, Scott Singer. “We look forward to the many riders who will come to Boca Raton to add to our thriving businesses and visit the cultural, dining, and shopping attractions in Mizner Park and beyond, and for our residents to connect to a major transportation network from Miami to Orlando. We can’t wait to say all aboard in Boca Raton!”
The project will consist of a 4.5 story building accompanied by a 455-space garage. This garage will work in conjunction with the library garage, where library visitors will have a dedicated first-floor complimentary parking area. In the meantime, Brightline has worked hard to keep the library a focus in the process and has built a temporary parking lot for the Downtown library.
“The construction of Brightline’s Boca station parking garage is an integral step in bringing the station closer to the launch of service,” said Brian Kronberg, VP of Development for Brightline. “The community of Boca Raton has shown great enthusiasm and support for this station, which we believe is vital to the connectivity of the communities from Miami to Orlando.”
This is just one of the many things Brightline has recently announced. Their opening of MiamiCentral station alongside the newly announced Brightline+ door-to-door services have been exciting new additions for the company. These attributes help set Brightline apart from other modes of transportation day after day.
The Brightline Boca Station is slated to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2022. 2021 was a big year for Brightline with many firsts and exciting opportunities, but with a focus on growing in the Florida region, there is no doubt that 2022 will be their year.
