Brugal 1888 is bringing its premium Dominican Republic rum across Miami. This week kicked off the brand’s first event of a four-part pop-up series, “La Ventanita”.

The event on Tuesday, September 21 featured an amazing pop-up in Brickell City Centre. The area was specifically decorated for the event with a plush lounge area and an amazing Brugal 1888 branded bar.

On-site cocktails were made by Brugal 1888 Ambassador Gabriel Urrutia and guest bartender Danilo Dacha Božovic of Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery. There were a variety of signature cocktails featured for the event including Don Nano’s Favorite, made with Brugal 1888 and a coconut water ice sphere, La Venanita, a Brugal 1888 coffee-infused cocktail and El Presidente.

In addition to amazing cocktails and delicious pastelito, the Brugal 1888 team brought in Oscar Fuentes, also known as The Biscayne Poet (@thebiscaynepoet), to write poetry and beautiful messages for each attendee.

Following the event, the Brugal 1888 La Ventanita will act as both a cafe and rum bar daily, until September 28. The Cafecito Shop is open from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. daily and the Brugal 1888 Rum Bar is open from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. They are located on the Garden Deck, Level 2 of Brickell City Centre.

“With La Ventanita, we hope to share our family traditions here in the Dominican Republic with everyone in the South Florida area. Some of my best days have started with a cafecito and pastelito, and have ended with an evening filled with dancing, singing and, of course, rum cocktails with my family and loved ones,” said Brugal 1888 Maestra Ronera, Jassil Villanueva Quintana.

This pop-up is just the beginning of exciting initiatives for Brugal 1888. The following three locations of La Ventanita will be announced in early 2022, planning to hit many amazing neighborhoods and communities in Maimi.
