First responders in our community during the catastrophic Champlain building tragedy did not go unnoticed, but on Thursday, July 15 Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Major Food Group’s Jeff Zalaznick decided to honor our local heroes. Together, the two hosted over 100 members of the Miami-Dade Urban Search and Rescue Task Forces, to The Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Major Food Group’s Jeff Zalaznick Host Miami-Dade's Urban Search and Rescue Task Forces (FL-TF1 & FL-TF2) for Lunch at Lido Restaurant at The Surf Club.
The group of emergency first responders including fire rescue and search and rescue task forces, both had a special and delicious meal curated by Major Food Group restaurant, Carbone. The meal brought in famed menu items including the Spicy Rigatoni, Cesar alla ZZ and Veal Parmesan to the Surfside hotel, to feed and honor those who have been working day-in and day-out over the last three weeks. Since Thursday, June 24, this group of first responders have been on-site at the building collapse in Surfside, helping search through the rubble.
