Esteemed Chef Mariano Araya is bringing his signature combination of Mediterranean and South American flavors back to Doral for his new restaurant opening, Casa Mariano. Set to open on September 18th, Chef Araya will feature some of his most beloved dishes, along with a unique selection of imported wines.
The interior of Casa Mariano
Known for his first restaurant, Mariano’s Cuisine, also located in Doral, Chef Araya is determined to build a legacy showcasing his unique flavors and fresh ingredients from around the world.
Regarding the new restaurant, he remarks, “From the moment guests step inside, I want them to feel like they are walking into my own home. Every detail, from the decor to the menu and the wine selection, was carefully considered and refined. I’m thrilled to finally welcome everyone to my casa!” After all, Chef Araya’s unique taste is what made him succeed in the culinary world in the first place.
The interior of the restaurant is Mediterranean style, finished with hues of blue, white and tan. The restaurant is made up of three sections, the dining room seating eight, the living room and a special wine library - the intimate venue can hold roughly 70 guests between its indoor and outdoor seating. The rooms are adorned with chandeliers, wallpaper, luxurious cushioned seating and circular sconces with gleaming candles.
Guests can expect a wide assortment of flavors, from appetizers to entrees with dishes such as the Morcilla Spring Rolls, served with a raisin-brandy sauce, to the Corvina Ceviche. Menu highlights for main course include the Lavender-crusted lamb or Black Ink Seafood Risotto.
Restaurant goers could never go thirsty in the presence of this drink menu; choose from a selection of cocktails such as the Rose-Peach Sangria made from an in-house secret recipe. If you are looking for something a little more classic, you may select a glass from their hand-picked selection of imported wines.
For dessert, satisfy your sweet tooth with the Doughnut Torrija, a decadent Spanish-style French toast topped with mango crème anglaise, or opt for the house special, their famous Chocolate Cake with a Manjari mousse, passion fruit cremeux and warm sabayon.
