Contemporary Artist Roman Feral is a Breath of Fresh Air in the Art Industry

Roman Feral has quickly become one of the world's most sought-after contemporary artists with his innovative works of art. He gained recognition for his sculptures combining products of fashion industry brands and the delicate nature of butterflies into unique pieces of art. Feral explains, “I was intrigued by the thin line between design and art” and his unique blending of elements, started as a question: “When does a luxury brand become art?” and then it just evolved from there.

Roman Feral was born in Paris, France and is currently based out of Miami, Florida. His art is showcased worldwide and displayed in galleries across Paris, London, Monaco, Miami, New York, Saint Tropez, Courchevel, Megeve, Cannes, Honfleur and more. His Miami gallery is located in the heart of the Design District at Galeries Bartoux. As he’s become a familiar name in both fashion and sculpting, Feral has had the chance to work with several major fashion houses. Recently, Chanel acquired his piece “Coffre Chanel Azur” for their private art heritage collection. The piece displays a Chanel box with a delicate explosion of blue butterflies suspended in flight.

Art Basel 2021

The momentum from his Chanel acquisition has not dwindled as he displayed his latest collection at Art Basel 2021 with Galeries Bartoux and completely sold-out, gathering attention from collectors and professionals. Feral’s polished bronze sculptures now boast a wait list due to high demand. They are created in collaboration with the French renowned JLB Foundry, known for being one of the world’s most groundbreaking and talented foundry. Iconic fashion items are recreated to the finest detail and require over 90 hours of hand polishing to achieve the level of purity the artist desires. He describes himself as autodidactic and a perfectionist, giving meticulous attention to detail which is unmistakably present in his pieces. Roman Feral is undeniably an artist to keep an eye on.
