Daniel Solomon (@danielrsolomon) is the youngest partner at one of the most recognized nightclubs in the world — Miami-based E11even. We chat with him to learn what it’s like working for the 24/7 adult wonderland, how he initially got involved and how his mentor reshaped his career path forever.

Did you ever think that E11EVEN would be the success it has become when you signed on to the project?
I always knew that the vision and concept that Dennis DeGori (creator and founder) had for E11EVEN was beyond special. With that said, it would have been impossible to have realistically imagined the level of business and worldwide recognition that we have built with the E11EVEN brand. We’ve more than doubled our initial expectations, which is crazy to think about. It’s truly astonishing!

When Dennis DeGori asked you to be part of this project more than seven years ago, what was your initial reaction?
Well, the truth is, at first, I had turned Dennis down multiple times. However, he’s very persuasive! He painted a picture for his vision that eventually became clear to me. I took that leap of faith, and, to this day, I am so happy that I did. Dennis has been nothing but exceptional in my career journey; the amount that I have learned from him over our eight years together has been priceless.

Tell us a little bit about your career before E11EVEN.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I graduated from UNLV with a bachelor of science in hospitality and a minor in marketing. While in college, I was working with TAO Group, and, then when I graduated, I had the opportunity to move into management (with TAO Group). I spent the next decade learning the business and worked my way from busser to bar back to bartender to manager to the GM of Marquee Las Vegas. At the time that I was the GM there, we were the highest-grossing club in the country.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I’m very organized and a bit OCD, so the operation side of the business is my forte. I love putting everything together and watching our management team and staff throw a great party while providing exceptional service and experience for our guests. Recently, I’ve enjoyed designing our new upcoming projects from scratch with Dennis and my partners. Building E11EVEN Hotel & Residences with our partners PMG, a pool club, a sports lounge and several other projects has become my newfound passion.

You guys have had so many memorable nights at E11EVEN. Do you have one or two nights that stand out as the most special?
We’ve had Drake perform eight times, but it was on his first show on Dec. 31, 2014, that he decided to perform on the center stage, which changed E11EVEN, making our intimate centerpiece famous for all artists who followed. Post Malone was epic; G-Eazy and Halsey on NYE was unbelievable. One nostalgic night I particularly loved was a tribute to Biggie Smalls by Puff Daddy and NAS—it was just electrifying. Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent performing together was awesome, as was Drake and Lil Wayne.
