From sculptural furnishings to whimsical ceramics to ethereal lighting, design devotees can expect a literal visual feast from Dec. 4 through 8. Now in its 20th edition, Design Miami’s flagship Miami Beach-based fair returns to Art Basel Miami Beach-adjacent Pride Park (Convention Center Drive and 19th St.) with a preview day on Dec. 3.
“Design Miami is the pioneer in collectible furnishings at Art Basel. They’ve led the way for many furnishing, lighting and decorative accessories companies launching new collections in the U.S. It’s the go-to haven for collectible design,” says Art + Loom principal Samantha Gallacher.

Under curatorial director Glenn Adamson’s handpicked theme, Blue Sky, a spate of the world’s leading galleries will present an array of contemporary and historic collectible design highlights alongside buzzy brand activations and de rigueur design talks.
“Buyers visiting Design Miami are expecting to pay premier prices for unique one-off pieces. From a vendor perspective, the guests visiting are some of the world’s most prolific designers and collectors,” Gallacher adds.
Here are this year’s Design Miami highlights: The Future Perfect, hailing from New York, will exhibit a Blue Sky theme in a smattering of shapes. Featuring Vikram Goyal—making his United States debut at Design Miami—as the keynote designer and Chris Wolston’s playful and exuberant works, which have achieved acclaim for their ability to express joy, the fair pairs thematic projects leveraging the concept of day and night under a single sky.
