The queen of ruffles just made history. Joining the ranks of Karl Lagerfeld and Giambattista Valli, Colombian-born Johanna Ortiz is the first Latin American designer to debut a collaboration with Swedish retail giant H&M. We spent a day in Miami with the designer to see where she gets the inspiration for the floral prints and exotic colors that define her signature style.

Favorite breakfast spot... Artisan on Key Biscayne for an almond cappuccino.
Neighborhood that gives you inspiration... Historic Coral Gables
Favorite places to shop... I love to hunt for antiques on 125th Street in North Miami; La Casa de las Viejas is great for crafts; Books & Books in Coral Gables; and definitely Bal Harbour.
Favorite lunch alfresco... Dune at the Ritz Key Biscayne and watching sunsets from a boat with nice rosé a la piscine and salads from The Golden Hog.
