The collection is reminiscent of a journey through a Mediterranean garden amongst gorgeous lemon trees and features a unique lemon print featured on the different womenswear and kidswear designs.
The 72-piece collection reflects Dolce & Gabbana's timeless and glamorous look, with poplin and chiffon dresses adding a modern-cool twist. Fitted dresses, ruffled blouses, high-waisted shorts, and appealing swimming styles form the foundation of a summer wardrobe. The collection contains complementing accessories that will turn any ensemble into an immediate eye-catcher and colorful ready-to-wear pieces. Mini-Me stylings are made possible by matching poplin and jersey girl dresses and baby girl styles in the same lemon print.
From May 4, the Dolce & Gabbana x Mytheresa Exclusive Collection will be available globally on Mytheresa as part of a specific editorial story prepared by Julian Paul, Global Creative Director. The collection will be celebrated with an intimate cocktail party in Miami.
Why was Miami chosen to showcase this exclusive collection?
Tiffany Hsu, Vice President Womenswear & Kidswear Fashion Buying Mytheresa: The US is one of our biggest markets and we think this collection encapsulates the glamour and vibrancy of Miami and its people.
How is the collection different from the other five with Dolce & Gabbana? What makes it so unique?
Tiffany Hsu: This exclusive collection is more luxurious and opulent with embellishments and bright colors than anything we've ever done with the brand. We decided to go all out with this one.
Did Mytheresa consider other brands for a collection, or was Dolce & Gabbana always the focus?
Tiffany Hsu: We always create capsules with different focuses and targets; however, Dolce & Gabbana is one of our largest brand partners so we always make sure to collaborate with their team as often as possible.
How was the process of ideating this collection with the Italian fashion house? Was walking in a Mediterranean garden amongst beautiful lemon trees always the inspiration? What were other things in consideration for the inspiration behind this collection?
Tiffany Hsu: I think celebrating feminity is very important for Dolce & Gabbana and we always try to think with the customer in mind; what they like and what the occasion is. This collection's focus is high-summer so we picked pieces for their summer vacations, keeping the Italian DNA at the top of mind.
