Superstar rapper Drake ran through the 305 with his woes to knock out two unforgettable back-to-back performances.

Thousands of Miamians eagerly flocked to the AmericanAirlines Arena to watch hip-hop legend Drake (better known as @ChampagnePapi to his 28 million Instagram followers) perform back-to-back shows—with his “whole team fucking here”—as part of his Summer Sixteen Tour. The energy was palpable from the get-go, when the lyrical madman told the sold-out arena that he’d placed a bet that Miami would be his favorite stop on his cross-country jaunt. “Do you want the short show or the long show?” he asked, sending fans into a tizzy that continued all night long as he took us from his old-school smash hits to arguably the song of the year, “Hotline Bling.”
Drake is a romantic at heart (as evidenced by his lyrics and VMA love confessions), so it came as no surprise when rumored girlfriend Rihanna arose from beneath the stage to “Work” it out with him. Rappers Lil Wayne and Future also showed up for an unforgettable live collab. At the after-party at the 24/7 showclub E11even, Champagne Papi and his entourage kept the Summer Sixteen Tour going (and the bubbly flowing) with another live but more intimate performance into the wee hours of the night, proving that the rapper lives by his verse “I live for the nights that I can’t remember with the people that I won’t forget.”
