As the Fall season quickly approaches, South Florida's humid weather and bright greenery stay the same. Luckily, Miami locals looking for that fall fix do not have to go too far. Just a short flight away, here are six East Coast destinations that will make anyone feel like Charlie Brown.

Take a late afternoon stroll through the vibrant colors of New York City's Central Park and head to its iconic restaurant, Tavern on the Green. At the heart of Central Park, Tavern on the Green has been a steadfast sight for locals and tourists alike to enjoy an exquisite dining experience. After dining, continue with the fall vibes as the Central Park Carousel, Strawberry Fields, and Bethesda Terrace, which overlooks the lake, are just a 15-minute walk from the restaurant.
For people who enjoy getting more active, taking a hike along Montauk Point State Park is sure to satisfy your Fall craving. Defined by luscious woods and pebbly beaches, no one should miss out on the views from this Long Island town that sits at the easternmost tip, just outside the Hamptons. After the scenic hike, don't forget to stop by Montauk Brewing Company for a pumpkin ale and a tour of the brewery.
If walking isn't for you, consider traveling to Virginia's Shenandoah National Park's 105-mile Skyline Drive. Along the Blue Ridge Mountains, it takes about 3 hours to travel the entire length of this breathtaking park. There are many spots to park along the way with glorious overlooks that will take away any fall FOMO. After your scenic drive, there are many luxurious cabins around the area. Try to plan your trip around October 1st to participate in the Shenandoah AutumnFest, complete with horse races, wine tasting, apple-butter making, and a log-splitting contest.
Spend a classic New England fall day with your family at one of New England's premiere apple orchards. Walk through the vines and pick a variety of apples to munch on for the plane ride home. If it takes more than fruits to meet your fall needs, these orchards offer everything from pumpkins to hay rides. Eighteen century Purity Farms at the Hall Homestead in Plainfield, CT, and Maple Bank Farm in Roxbury, CT, are two of the most talked about orchards by Connecticut locals.
Adrenaline enthusiasts may find themselves wanting a bird's eye view of the fall foliage on Vermont's largest zipline in Spruce Peak. Take a leap from Mt. Mansfield to get this season's most exhilarating yet spectacular views. For the less courageous of your crew, they can get the perfect viewing spot from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the renowned hotel, The Lodge at Spruce Peak. Typically ski-in-ski-out during the winter, this is a great spot to see the leaves with zero fear and one cup of hot chocolate.
Head to Philadelphia's Halloween Nights at the Eastern State Penitentiary for a date night bound to bring you closer together. What was once the most famous prison in the world, its now abandoned cell blocks are used for this one-of-a-kind immersive experience. Featuring five haunted houses, guests can come for a fright as hired actors will bring you face-to-face with the creatures lurking in the shadows. If you prefer history to ghosts, historical tours with themed bars and live entertainment are also offered. Kids can enjoy a mellower twisted carnival while parents enjoy a drink at the Bizarre Bar, where acts of fire dancers and knife throwers put on a show.
