As Miami exploded during Art Week, luminaries flocked to the city’s Design District to toast a new icon in the art and fashion scene: the expanded Fendi boutique. Spanning an impressive 6,700 square feet, the store’s grand reopening became the pièce de résistance of Miami Art Week, melding the storied heritage of Roman craftsmanship with the electric pulse of Miami’s vibrant culture.

The boutique’s façade is an undeniable showstopper. Four majestic arches, inspired by ancient Roman architecture, frame the exterior, while custom glass bricks—evoking the rhythmic motion of ocean waves— capture the shimmering lights of Miami at night. The outdoor gallery, adorned in Fendi’s signature light pink tiles and lush tropical greenery—creates an opulent sanctuary and temple of the maison’s ultrachic collections.

Roberto Sironi designed a unique art piece for the space that recalls the Selleria handmade stitching that is part of Fendi’s codes since its founding in 1925.

Inside, the boutique offers a symphony of artistry and design. The ground floor welcomes guests into a world of refined elegance, where geometric Patagonia and Travertine marble flooring echo the grandeur of Rome’s Temple of Venus (a symbolic location that hosted the Fendi Couture Fall/Winter 2019-2020 show). Hand-tufted carpets, with their curvilinear patterns in pastel green and pink, draw from Miami’s lively palette and the meandering Tevere River in Rome.

Unique furniture pieces, from Atelier de Troupe’s Jia Chairs to Roberto Sironi’s upside-down arch tables in Rima marble, infused the space with a contemporary yet timeless allure. Past the blond walnut staircase, the second-floor haven awaits, complete with Miami’s skyline-inspired graphic rugs in hues of blue and green. Menswear shines against ribbed travertine walls, while a luminous vetrofusion glass wall illuminates the women’s section.

A private VIC area with gradient curtains and bespoke Fendi furnishings offers an intimate retreat. “Fendi’s new boutique in the Miami Design District is the ultimate expression of the brand’s focus on style and elegance,” says Craig Robins, co-founder and co-owner of Design Miami and developer of the Miami Design District.

Ribbed travertine walls with archive FF logo details complement silver or champagne metal accents and walnut wood touches throughout the spaces.
