Frost Science, a cutting-edge science museum dedicated to communicating the power of science, igniting curiosity and investigation, and fuelling future innovation, has unveiled an exciting April programming. Located at 1101 Biscayne Blvd, this incredible museum goes hand in hand with Miami’s eagerness for innovation, technology, and development. Find the programming below, and enjoy a fun and enriching experience.
Frost Science offers a wide choice of events/experiences for people of all ages, making it the ideal place to get away from it. Experience a Laser Evening performance, a LIVE@Frost Science Lecture event, and Earth Day events this month.

Get ready to rock under the Frost Planetarium’s 67-foot dome
On Friday, April 8, Frost Science will host its next Laser Evening, which will feature iconic music and laser light visuals. Elton John, Beyoncé, Daft Punk, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd are among the performers. Early arrivals are urged to hang around in the museum's main atrium, where light refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase.
Because each event has a distinct roster, laser shows rotate throughout the year. Each Laser Evening presentation requires a separate purchase.

Animal Architects is the topic of the next Mini-Me Science session, held on April 10. Children ages 2 to 5 will explore the homes of various Frost Science birds before creating their own nest ball to take home. Mini-Me Science is a monthly session created for you and your child to share experiences that engage the senses while encouraging exploration and discovery through hands-on activities tailored to early learners ages two to five.

Come explore a story 4 billion years in the making!
This April, Frost Science will host another exciting Mini-Camp. Children ages 4-11 (grades Pre-K – 5) will spend the day exploring the museum's interactive exhibitions, completing science experiments, and meeting new friends, making it the ideal activity for a Teacher Planning Day. Through the study of DNA, children will discover about their profound links to everything from chimps to bananas on DNA Day. Children will complete activities that will help them see themselves and animals in a new light, from analyzing the basics of base pairs to investigating genetic technologies in the interactive display Power of Science.

Join us for Earth Day to discover Miami’s environmental challenges and the steps local scientists are taking to solve them.
On Wednesday, April 20, LIVE@Frost Science will return with a new episode titled "Imagining Miami's Environmental Future." Guests can commemorate Earth Day by hearing from three local scientists using novel techniques to combat climate change's effects, such as flooding and invasive species. Dr. Jayantha Obeysekera of Florida International University, Dr. Katharine Mach of the University of Miami, and Shannon Jones, Frost Science's Conservation Programs Manager, will participate in the unique panel discussion. Following their lectures, there will be a Q&A session conducted by Dr. Kate Carter, Frost Science's Director of Science Communication.
The event will be held inside the Frost Planetarium. The presentation begins precisely at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please arrive early. Before the event, food and beverage options will be available for purchase.
The event is free to attend, with a limit of four tickets per participant.

Join Frost Science as we work on several citizen science activities.
Through philanthropic-based restoration workdays, Frost Science's Museum Volunteers for the Environment (MUVE) is thrilled to create chances for our community to give back to crucial coastal habitats. MUVE will welcome small groups of volunteers on Virginia Key on Saturday, April 23, to remove unwanted vegetation and garbage. This event is being held in conjunction with Baynanza, a celebration of Biscayne Bay and its importance as one of South Florida's most important natural systems.
Volunteers will register on a first come, first serve basis. There are a limited number of spots available.

Understanding the Past, Imagining the Future
In honor of Earth Day, Frost Science is teaming up with FPL SolarNow for a day of hands-on climate activities. Observe how agencies like FPL are integrating new, climate-friendly technological breakthroughs while tackling environmental engineering design difficulties with the Frost Science teaching team and exploring ancient sea levels with local experts.
The activities for Earth Day 2022 is free with paid museum admission.
