Sneaker-themed sports lounge Grails has joined forces with 22 Miami-based artists to create a one-of-a-kind sneaker wall. Grails is Wynwood’s premier location for hype beasts and sports fans alike, serving signature craft cocktails in glass-shaped sneakers. The new wall installation features 22 Air Force 1s designed by local artists, all creating unique designs to showcase.
Grails is a one-of-a-kind destination, known for displaying some of the rarest sneakers while serving up quality food and drinks. The new wall installation will add to the uniqueness of the restaurant, bringing a piece of Art Basel to Wynwood. The wall is set to be unveiled on December 1, just in time for the week-long art celebrations citywide.
For the weekend, lounge events include a live painting demo by CoesSneakers and Vincent Vasconez. Jose Belen will be painting a gift personalized to families of fallen veteran soldiers, in honor of Vet Basel. Other exhibits include artworks by Bankrupt, Adieny Nunez, ill Surge and FossMoves. Virtuos Boxing will also virtually display their new line of footwear, worn by fighters and fashionistas alike.
Notable Miami artists who created a shoe include Atomiko, Ivan Rogue, Adieny Nunez and more. Throughout the weekend, artists will be there to chat with customers, allowing the public a chance to learn about the inspiration behind the shoes. The weekend’s proceeds will be donated to SIDES, an organization that spreads awareness and helps families whose children suffer from pediatric cancers.
The restaurant will be serving classics throughout the weekend, including their signature “Sneaker” cocktail. Drink offerings include Miami’s Best Pina Colada, Concord XL with gin, Muscatel Cordial, Lemon Juice, bitters Sauvignon Blanc, Lavendar Soda and frozen grapes. Or try the Satisfy Your Sole, a drink made with Deep Eddy Vodka, Watermelon, Lemon Verbena, ginger lime and Topo Chico. Notable food items include Poke Nachos, Steak Frites, burgers and more.
Head on over on December 1 to check out Grail’s sneaker wall before it’s too late!
