On March 30, Paola Alberdi, Pritika Swarup, Christie Ferrari, Ximena Kavalekas, Polina Panopoulos, Anggie Bryan, Rachel Love, Monroe Steele, Ria Michelle, and others gathered in Miami last night to celebrate the U.S. debut of Quintessence by Grand Marnier, the French Maison's highest expression, presented in a brilliant bespoke decanter by Baccarat.
Guests gathered at the Baccarat Boutique B Bar & Lounge in Miami's Design District to be among the first to try this rare cuvée, Grand Marnier's rarest and oldest cognac ever created.
Attendees entered the realm of old French Maisons through an immersive display that engaged all five senses.
Starting with "sound," guests were ushered into a private corridor to begin their trip, which featured historical sounds, photographs, and digital displays that illustrated Quintessence's history and craftsmanship. The "scent" station demonstrated how the spirit is delicately formed like a smell, replicating the composition of a perfume, using green Bigaradia orange peels and oak barrel fragments to simulate the aging process. The top note of double parfum d'orange lingered in the air, mingling with the base note of Cognac Quintessence, which is a blend of oak wood, vanilla bourbon, tobacco leaf, and cinnamon bark.
Before guests joined others chatting inside the Baccarat boutique, they were treated to a special "tasting" of Quintessence.
Quintessence, an exquisite spirit paying respect to Grand Marnier's illustrious history with hors d'âge cognacs specifically selected from Grande Champagne and meticulously aged in Paradis from the personal reserves of the Marnier-Lapostolle family cellar, made its official U.S. premiere during the event. Quintessence can create the most complex aromas from seemingly simple ingredients such as cognac, orange essence, wood, and time.
A one-of-a-kind, mouthblown decanter, handmade by Baccarat's talented artisans and inspired by the legendary original bottle of Grand Marnier made centuries ago, complements the excellent quality of the liquid. The two venerable brand families have again come together to reinvigorate their ageless enthusiasm for French excellence as if completing a perfect circle.
Quintessence is a limited-edition collection offered only at fine merchants in select regions in 2022. Only 1,000 bottles will be available worldwide in the first year, with an SRP of $3,500.
