David Grutman and his Groot Hospitality team have the golden key when it comes to excelling in Miami hospitality. Successfully honing in on each neighborhood and delivering an inviting food and beverage menu that leads to lively programming, each with a unique concept and theme, the restaurants in their portfolio are some of the city’s most iconic destinations.
Now, they’ve opened the doors to their latest masterpiece located in the heart of Coconut Grove’s newly renovated CocoWalk—The Key Club. Nodding to the location’s northernmost region of the Florida Keys as well as the legendary Dinner Key Auditorium, the eatery focuses on upscale American cuisine with a Groot Hospitality twist—classic foods with an indulgent flair, such as the signature crispy potato chips topped with caviar dip or the coconut lobster roll. Sample through fresh catch of the day or flavorful steak dishes that utilize premium cuts of meat. All will be complemented by The Key Club’s decadent cocktail menu, which offers libations that are just as photogenic as they are delicious, and a 200-bottle wine list.

As programming is a key element of the Groot Hospitality dining experience, expect live DJs to provide animated backdrops at night and live jazz performances during its weekend brunches that appeal to those looking for an idyllic brunch destination with friends or family. Set within a scene that is reminiscent of Coconut Grove in the 1960s with a mix of Brazil’s architecture of the 1950s, ICRAVE design firm crafted the perfect upscale retreat to indulge in a true Miami dining experience.

“We’re looking forward to becoming a part of this vibrant neighborhood and being a staple destination in the community,” says Grutman. “The Key Club is easygoing—it’s a place for everyone, where we will deliver great food and memorable experiences in our signature Groot way.” 3015 Grand Ave., Coconut Grove, @thekeyclub
