Gulfstream Park will be kicking off the holiday season with its annual Symphony in Lights celebration on Saturday, November 13.
The Symphony in Lights celebration will feature more than 250,000 lights, offering a light show at the top of every hour from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Guests should expect to see a fantastical display filled with lights that are synced up to the music. The towering Christmas tree is one of the main attractions, with beautiful garland and thousands of lights illuminating the centerpiece to create a showstopping display.
Emmy award-winning newscaster Calvin Hughes will be leading the festivities, with the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida performing a lively set alongside a 7-piece band. The chorus will be dressed in special holiday outfits and perform a plethora of holiday-themed songs to ring in the season.
Mayor of Hallandale Beach, Joy Cooper, will be in attendance to kick off the first show of the season. And of course, Santa Claus himself will also be making a special appearance, riding into the holiday festivities in style!
Not only will the Symphony in Lights provide a magical holiday experience, but guests can also enjoy shopping, dining and a sleigh full of jolly entertainment. Home stores such as Pottery Barn, West Elm and William Sonoma will be offering the best in holiday décor and gifts. Restaurants favorites like Yardhouse and Christine Lee’s is the perfect place to take a tasty break after so many festivities.
The light show will begin at 7 p.m. on November 13 at Gulfstream Park Village and will run through December 31. Admission is free and guests of all ages are welcome.
