Next model Hailey Hildenbrand on her best-kept beauty secret and where she goes out in the Magic City (hint: it's not a nightclub).
Where did you grow up?
HAILEY HILDENBRAND: I grew up in a one-stoplight town called Strasburg in Lancaster County, Penn. It’s right in the heartland of the Amish community.
How were you discovered?
HH: My junior year of high school I was playing in a volleyball tournament in Philadelphia and was approached by Beth Boldt, the scout who discovered Naomi Campbell. Several months later, I signed with Next.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for a shoot?
HH: I had to dye my hair pink for a hair campaign.
What is your mantra?
HH: Let go and let God.
What makes you feel sexy?
HH: Driving around in my Jeep blasting country music with the roof off.
Hidden talents?
HH: Singing has always been a passion of mine. I have a few clips posted on my Instagram (@haileyhild13). And I play a mean game of Ping-Pong.
What are your beauty secrets?
HH: Coconut oil is my go-to. I feel like it’s the best thing for my hair and skin. And sunscreen, always!
Next vacation?
HH: Taking a mission trip to northern Israel has been on my heart.
Fitness routine?
HH: I live near Flamingo Park, so I will go to the track and create my own workout. I love going to Maham yoga. They put a fun twist on yoga and we jam out to hip-hop music while getting a more high-intensity workout.
Favorite restaurant?
HH: Doraku. Absolutely love their sushi.
Go-to hangout?
HH: Vous Church. It’s the place to be.
You have so many followers on social media. What’s it like to have so many eyes on you?
HH: No matter what, I always think twice before anything I post or say. I would do the exact same thing if I only had 10 followers.
Advice to aspiring models?
HH: Always stay true to yourself. Everyone is unique in their own way, and that’s what makes this industry so beautiful.
