SI Swimsuit model Haley Kalil is the all-American girl next door who caught the eyes of Miamians in 2017 when she was a member of the top 15 in Sports Illustrated’s Swim Search. Her red hair, body-positive mindset and impressive double major in biomedical sciences and psychology with a minor in chemistry from St. Cloud University put Kalil on the top of our girl crush list. What is the biggest surprise you’ve ever had? Going from working in an immunology lab to seeing myself in the pages of SI Swimsuit

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? It’s the will, not the skill. Passion and hard work will always prevail.
