When it comes to cocktails it is easy to get a sugar-overload without even knowing. Little did we know but some of our favorite cocktails range in 25 grams to 10 grams of sugar.
There is still a way to drink and have fun without indulging in all the sugars many household names and cocktails have.
We have teamed up with the champagne company, Faire La Fête to create some must-make, low-sugar, delicious cocktails. Faire La Fête is the perfect combination of giving delicious bubbles of champagne while emphasizing its low sugar levels. With only 6 grams of sugar, Faire La Fête has nearly half the amount of sugar as other leading brands in the industry.
Cherry Sangria
Ingredients (Makes 1 pitcher, 4-6 servings)
3/4 cup cherry syrup
Juice of 1 lime
1 lime sliced
1 cup of cherries, halved
1 750ml bottle of white wine
1/2 cup vodka
Faire La Fête Brut
Instructions
Combine together all ingredients, leaving out the champagne. Once everything is stirred together, pour the sangria wine mixture into glasses over ice.Top each glass with Faire La Fête Brut.
Cherry Syrup Ingredients
1 cup water
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup cherries, halved and pits removed
Cherry Syrup Instructions
Combine water, sugar, and cherries in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Combine all ingredients together into a shaker, leaving out the champagne. Shake together and double strain into a chilled, coupe glass. Top the cocktail off with champagne and a lemon.
